Tell me I'm not alone in this (Please!)

This is another post for all my single friends. (Sorry, Smug Marrieds. ;-) )

There are days when you *feel* single.
And then there are days when you don't just feel it. You *know* it. You know you are going to be alone and single forever, and it just hurts and it bites, and there's nothing you can do about it.

There are days when you *think* you've got it all together. The career, the social life, the budget, the future.
And then there are days when you know that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, it is never going to be enough, and you are just going to die trying, and no one will ever care.

Tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way.

**post now edited**

Thanks to Laurie and Heidi for showing me this video just when I needed it most!

  1. Before reading your post, I had JUST put this up on my wall on Facebook.

Weirdly appropriate. Being single is the pits; I remember all to well.

Say, I wonder what that fella's situation is (the one in the link)?

  2. (TOO well. Nuts...)

  3. Thank you for posting that, Laurie! Heidi had shown it to me a few days ago, but my computer kept freezing up so I couldn't watch it. So this was the first time I've watched the whole thing.
I laughed so hard, I cried! Not that I expect anyone else will laugh as I hard as I did. I'm just relating to it all too well right now.
I think I will embed it here on the blog tomorrow. Or tonight. or something.

  4. That's awesome! Love the video.
    Friggin' brilliant.

Sweetie... you are not the only one who feels that way.
    Some days are great.
Some days you think you'll be fine alone, on this journey just you and God.
And other days, most of them - you wonder when the blankity blank it's going to be your turn! What makes all those other people so special that they get a marriage, and children and a house with a friggin' yard!

Nothing. Nothing makes them more special. Winning the lottery doesn't make you special either. Just lucky.

Feelin' a little bitter today, hope you don't mind!

Some days I'm still just pissed at Mr. Burns for not being the right guy.

  5. That video is hysterical.

And I can say with confidence, everyone whether married or single has felt exactly like you at one time or another in their life.

  6. Well, hello, "Chloe!" I'm happy to see you are a reader here! I've read your blog many times. It's good to "see" you!

  7. I so needed that video!!
    Thanks for the laughs.

  8. You are not alone!! I feel exactly the same.

How bad is it when someone says "Oh, you'll find someone"

  9. I got here, better late than never. Wiping the tears of laughter out of my eyes, as we speak.

Thanks for leaving a comment!
