I'm not childless, I'm childfull. I'm not a mother, but I am maternal.

To all my single girlfriends, who know the pain of wanting to be a wife and mother, but life has not brought that path, I share with you this beautifully written article-
"The Truth About Childless Women" by Melanie Notkin on HuffingtonPost.com.
She puts into words feelings I often wish I could share!

  1. wonderful.

Though I am quite dismayed by the commenters who say that she 'obviously' put her career first. Um... no... you have to have a job to get by - it's a plan to get you to the point where you get to have kids.
Oh and some of us KNOW that raising a family is difficult, and we're not going to do it without a husband/ father for our children.

If you neglect to learn the skills to attract men because you are so busy with a job, you put your job first. If you are hung up on religion, you value that over a connection and limit yourself to one religion or ideal. There are many people who are single and can't figure out why, but it boils down to how open they are to giving and receiving love. Many people jeopardize their potential relationships without realizing it. You simply need to learn how to attract men and give and receive love.

I never view another persons opinion as entirely wrong anymore even if it differs from my own. But I am open minded and enjoy exploring other ways of thinking about things. I enjoyed the article. I just don't share her perspective.
