Things I learned the hard way today...

... an allergic reaction to a sulfa drug can look and feel a lot like really bad food poisoning.
... not Tylenol, Advil, or Aspirin can reduce the fever that comes with that allergic reaction. (But a Slurpee helped a lot.)
... it was really hot today.
... the doctor you thought was rude and mean when he prescribed the sulfa drug, will still be rude and mean when you call to say you are having an allergic reaction to it.
... I am productive against my own will, even after being told by a mean doctor to go to bed for 24 hours until I feel better.

  1. I'm allergic to sulfas too, and every time the doc prescribes a new med I have to research what's in it. I also have an eppy pen and benedryl with me, just in case. I suggest a new doc if possible.
